Martial Arts

The Martial Arts taught involves elements from the systems of South east asia, Europe and Body conditioning methods from around the world. These include athletics and yoga methods to give you a balanced approach to your wellbeing.

 

Body conditioning?

The exercises used to condition the whole body are done using your own body weight. These methods have been taken from various martial arts and athletic systems from all over the world. Some of the exercises include multiple variations of squats, press-ups, skipping, midsection workouts and holding postures along with internal deep breathing methods.

 

Pad work?

The pad work used in this system requires you to strike pads and kickshields of various sizes with different parts of the body. These are done using fists, forearms, elbows, feet, shins and knees. You will learn many different combinations using all the above, which will enable you to become proficient in your training.

 

Yoga?

The Yoga that is taught is a mixture of Thai and Indian styles. The Thai yoga is a rare form not taught by many in the UK. The system does not have many postures, but is very effective and  produces great results. It also has a great effect on the body and mind of those trained. The Indian systems, which are more popular in the west, have more postures and variations to give a richer system to offer the practitioner.

 

Internal breathing?

Deep breathing exercises have been taught all over the world and are renowned to aid the body to deal with the stress of everyday life, and help the body to function more efficiently. You will learn how to perform simple yet effective exercises, which can be incorporated into everyday life.
